Michael Weston Loftin of Ava Honored as Top Academic Student at Scholar Banquet

Dr. Sharon Weiser, Missouri Valley College vice president of academic affairs, honored 2013 academic scholars at the annual Scholar Banquet on April 4.

Michael Weston Loftin of Ava, Mo., was named a 2013 MVC Scholar for the physical education major.

Scholars are chosen by MVC faculty members as individuals exemplifying outstanding scholarly and personal characteristics. To be eligible for the award, the student must have a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade point average, be a December or May graduate of the current academic year and may only be honored for one major.
