MVC to Honor Tessa Belcher of Edgerton as Top Academic Student at Scholar Banquet

Dr. Sharon Weiser, Missouri Valley College chief academic officer, will honor 2012 Academic Scholars at the annual Scholar Banquet on April 9.

Tessa Belcher of Edgerton, English, was named a 2012 MVC Scholar.

Scholars are chosen by MVC faculty members as individuals exemplifying outstanding scholarly and personal characteristics. To be eligible for the award, the student must have a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade point average, be a December or May graduate of the current academic year, and may only be honored for one major.

Additionally, one student will be awarded the Ed Leslie Lamp of Knowledge Award for an essay about "What Missouri Valley College Means to Me."
